For the second year in a row, the UK division of Owen Mumford has earned a RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Gold Health and Safety Award for their commitment to exceptional risk management and maintaining very low levels of error, harm, and loss. This achievement ensures that everyone involved makes it home safely to their families at the end of every workday.

Organizations receiving a RoSPA award are recognized as global leaders in health and safety practices. Nearly 2,000 applicants each year aim to achieve the highest distinction in what is the UK’s longest-standing health and safety industry awards program.

Jarl Severn, CEO at Owen Mumford, stated: “Safety is a top priority not only in how we design our products, but also in our everyday business operations. We are grateful to be recognized for upholding the high standards needed to achieve RoSPA’s Gold Award for a second year, especially with the additional health and safety challenges from the pandemic. We have kept delivering vital medical devices to customers and their patients, while always prioritizing the safety of our team across all locations. Continuous improvement is part of our company’s culture, and we are committed to raising the bar even higher.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, commented: “The RoSPA Awards program is the UK’s longest-running of its kind, yet it draws entries from organizations worldwide, making it one of the most highly regarded honors for health and safety achievement globally.

“RoSPA is extremely proud of our entrants’ accomplishments, and with this award, we highlight the very best — organizations that go above and beyond, setting higher standards for workplace safety. Employees everywhere deserve the assurance that they can come to work and go home healthy and unharmed each day. RoSPA award winners are driving this vision forward. By participating, they help raise expectations and create new benchmarks in safety for workplaces around the world. Today, about 7 million people are directly affected by the RoSPA Awards, but the program’s reach is even greater, with nearly 2,000 organizations from 46 countries involved this year. I also want to give a special thank you to our main sponsor NEBOSH, the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, for supporting us for the 16th consecutive year.”
