Owen Mumford History

Owen Mumford was founded in 1952 by Ivan Owen and John Mumford, who introduced the first plastic autoinjector, changing the way diabetes was treated. Since then, we’ve kept innovating and growing our product range, specializing in the design and manufacturing of medical devices for many therapeutic areas. Our devices are used for drug delivery, blood sampling, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pelvic health. We offer safety pen needles, syringes and needles, autoinjectors, lancets, and devices for both capillary and venous blood collection, among others.

Our strong expertise in medical device design, engineering, and manufacturing is backed by a team of skilled professionals, advanced facilities, and a robust quality management system.
