Oxford, UK – March 30, 2017: Owen Mumford, a global leader in medical device design and manufacturing, officially opened its new location in Malaysia today to support and grow the company within the Asia Pacific region.
Since late 2015, our regional hub has operated out of Nusajaya, in southern Malaysia. In 2016, we strengthened our activities at this site to include packaging, manufacturing, and logistics services for customers throughout the region.
Along with our advanced new production facilities, Joerg Daehn has been named Regional Managing Director for APAC, based in Malaysia. Our Malaysian regional hub is now well established and we’ll be celebrating with an official launch event on March 30, 2017.
At the opening, we will highlight our high-tech facility, showcasing the latest advances in product manufacturing and packaging. By operating close to the growing Asia Pacific market, Owen Mumford can respond more quickly to customer needs in the region and better serve local markets.
To commemorate the opening, Mr. Haji Suhairi Bin Haji Hashim, CEO of Johor Biotechnology and Biodiversity Corporation and representative for Johor’s Chief Minister, along with British High Commissioner Vicki Treadell, will be attending the event, which includes a factory tour.
