As part of the Easter parliamentary recess, Robert Courts visited local businesses throughout his constituency that provide significant employment and economic benefits to the local community. Mr. Courts was welcomed by Mark Owen, Chairman, and Jarl Severn, Managing Director, who gave him an overview of Owen Mumford’s history and global growth. This included highlights from the official opening ceremony of OMM’s new Malaysian facilities that took place the previous week.
The MP was given a tour of the Woodstock site to highlight the wide variety of functions housed at just one of our Oxfordshire-based facilities. First, Mr. Courts visited Research & Development, where designers explained the projects they’re working on and invited the MP to try out a UniSafe device. The tour then moved to the Test Lab, followed by a demo of the new high-tech 3D printers to showcase our process for designing and prototyping medical devices. Finally, the group visited the lancet manufacturing facilities to provide insight into the scale and output produced at the Woodstock site alone.
Everyone agreed that the visit from our new MP was a great chance for Owen Mumford to highlight a successful business in Mr. Courts’ new constituency, and we look forward to welcoming him again soon.
