At Owen Mumford, we’re dedicated to SDG 13 – Climate Action, showing our commitment to building a brighter future. We’re actively rolling out energy-saving initiatives across all our facilities, cutting global business energy use by 8.4% compared to last year.
Our UK and German sites are powered entirely by renewable energy, and we’re applying energy reduction strategies at every location. By installing LED lights, motion sensors, and making other upgrades, we’ve successfully lowered our scope one and two emissions.
We’re also expanding electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. EV charging stations are available at our German and UK facilities, with plans to add more in 2023 as our EV fleet grows. Plus, the solar panels on our UK sites have already produced 134,280kWh of clean energy this year!
Last year, we put in solar panels at our Malaysia site, which are expected to generate around 420,000kWh of clean energy and cut CO2 emissions by 288 tons annually. We’re proud to be shrinking our carbon footprint worldwide.
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, our new production site in Witney will continue these green practices. The facility will run on 100% renewable energy, including solar panels generating 11,000kWh, just like the rest of our UK sites.
Let’s work together to make a real difference for the planet and build a greener, brighter tomorrow.
