Owen Mumford releases annual Responsible Action Report spotlighting B Corp certification and Science Based Targets accomplishments
WOODSTOCK – OXFORDSHIRE, England, March 9, 2022 – Leading medical device company Owen Mumford has announced its latest annual Responsible Action Report, which details the progress and accomplishments in 2021, including B Corp certification and collaboration with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2045. The report illustrates the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its sustainability plans and future-proofing operations.
In June 2021, Owen Mumford received B Corp certification for its dedication to corporate social responsibility in areas like environmental protection, governance, community involvement, employee well-being, and customer care. Sustainability remains a main priority for Owen Mumford, as shown by its commitments to reduce emissions under the SBTi. The company aims to cut carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2045. In 2021, Owen Mumford also joined the Race to Zero campaign, a global alliance of leading companies focused on driving the transition to zero carbon.
The report tracks how the organization is advancing towards specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including themes around well-being, infrastructure, and responsible consumption. Notable achievements in 2021 include ongoing support for encouraging women in STEM subjects through partnerships with local schools and colleges, and continued assessment of supply chain operations to cut carbon emissions and reduce customer wait times. Additional actions reveal Owen Mumford’s dedication to its employees, customers, products, and the planet.
