Working at Owen Mumford

Benefits

Hear from our current associates about the benefits we offer

Professional Development

Our professional development review cycle encourages a collaborative approach to associate development and ensures that we work together to achieve the very best success for both the business and individual personal development. We also support further qualifications through our educational partners and apprentices, allowing all associates to gain more qualifications during their working life with us.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Environment

We have recently achieved B Corp certification. B Corp is the standard for a new generation of aspirational brands who are helping to define the future of business in a responsible way. Being a B Corp organisation carries much responsibility and requires continual assessment of progress in our sustainable agenda, so we have anchored all our efforts to a pledge to achieve net zero by 2045. Although we established our sustainability programme in 2014 and have formally committed to supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we now join a highly respected community of for-profit businesses that are applying growth and profit to the positive gain of the environment and external communities, as well as associates.

Owen Mumford joins the Wychwood Project
Owen Mumford is a Corporate Partner of the Wychwood Project, a conservation charity that encourages people to understand, conserve and restore its rich mosaic of landscapes and wildlife habitats. Our locations make the Wychwood Project a perfect partner, as we build our engagement with the local communities in which we work and contribute to protecting and enhancing the wildlife and biodiversity around us.
Zero waste to landfill
Zero waste to landfill
As a plastics manufacturer we are acutely aware of our responsibility to manage our waste. As a result, we operate with zero waste to landfill across our UK production facilities.

Mental health first aiders
Our continuing roll-out of mental health initiatives are supported by in-house mental health first aiders and recent funding provides additional support for associates, including mental health webinars.
Gender equality
Increasing female representation in our leadership
As in previous years, we continue to measure, analyse and address any disparities in pay between genders. In addition, we continue to dedicate resources to promoting women into STEM subjects through content, collaboration with local schools and colleges, and through sponsorship of early careers, apprenticeship and internship programmes.
Witney building
Building for the future
We recently began building our new site in Witney, Oxfordshire. Once complete, the facility will be included in the top 25% of buildings assessed through BREEAM, utilising modern technology and ecological practices to reduce its impact on the environment and promote local biodiversity with the support of ecologists.
