Two key things have helped us become a leader in medical device development: our talented associates and our advanced design and manufacturing capabilities. We’ve always valued innovation and encouraged that culture within our company, along with our commitment to keeping up with the latest technical changes. That’s why it’s important for us to keep improving our infrastructure and facilities.
After a lot of planning, we’ve completed a refurbishment of our Test Lab Office and Prototyping Facility at our Head Office in Woodstock. This is another big step toward creating modern workspaces that not only promote innovation but are ready to meet the needs of our associates in the future.
Our Head Office has housed our Test Lab and advanced rapid Prototyping Facility since it opened in 1995. These areas have changed over time to support our growing business needs. Now, the facility is fully renovated into a state-of-the-art space, providing our talented associates with a great environment to excel. We’ve increased the space for 3D printing machines by 400%, giving our team the flexibility to add more prototyping equipment as needed. We’ve also added a new high-fidelity 3D printer.
The new 3D printer comes with several impressive features, like an odor-free system, high-resolution printing, and, most importantly, the ability to create 640,000 color combinations. These advanced additive manufacturing tools help our R&D teams lead the way in in-house design, working closely with our Human Factors Engineering team to make sure our device designs are right from the start.
These recent upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to continually improve our infrastructure and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, so we can continue to deliver cutting-edge innovation and make a positive impact for our customers and users.
