This event was more than just a typical career day. It was an engaging, hands-on experience aimed at giving students a genuine look into the working world.
Each student got one minute to guess our associates’ job roles by examining various items displayed on a desk. After that, they had three minutes to ask any questions about what we do or to seek general career advice, including tips for choosing their GCSEs. We were truly impressed by the thoughtful and insightful questions these young people asked.
The feedback touched us – an incredible 92% of students said they now have a much stronger understanding of the wide variety of job roles that are out there for them. This event didn’t just open their eyes, it also lit up new interests and dreams.
At Owen Mumford, we believe it is vital to empower future generations by connecting education with real-world career experiences. We are extremely proud of our associates who took time to be part of this event and inspire these students. These experiences show just how important community involvement is and the positive influence these connections can make.
