Environmental Steering Group
This made Energy their primary focus and so far we have had success with our Power Down campaign, our partnership with the Low Carbon Hub to reduce our carbon emissions by an estimated 1,320 tonnes over 20 years. Our Supply Chain has ensured that the vast majority of our externally sourced electricity will be supplied from 100% renewable sources. This is something we are all really proud of.

Owen Mumford teams with The Wychwood Project
Recently we have become a Corporate Partner of the local conservation charity the Wychwood Project. This project has seen Owen Mumford’s volunteers regularly taking part with various local conservation activates including the Wild Oxfordshire and FreshWater Watch Waterblitz, helping with local biodiversity and fresh water projects.

Our volunteers support the Thames Waterblitz
We understand how important it is to be environmentally aware and as a result are always looking for opportunities that help protect our local environment. Recently volunteers from our Head Office based in Woodstock took part in the Thames Waterblitz for a second year. In this initiative, our volunteers helped test Oxfordshire’s water quality collecting samples from the River Glyme that passes close to our office’s. Having arranged sample kits through Wild Oxfordshire we were able to take more samples this year with the growing engagement and support of our associates. Since the programme started in 2015 a total of 1,208 samples have been collected throughout Oxfordshire.
We are always looking to identify ways to help reduce our environmental impact and provide opportunities for our associates to volunteer on local initiatives.
