In search of a winner for the Owen Mumford Innovation Award
The 2015 West Oxfordshire Business Awards (WOBA) are up and running and on Friday, 27th March, the winners of the awards will be announced at a special Gala dinner.
Owen Mumford is proud to continue our sponsorship of the Innovation award and Andy Vardé, Director of Research and Development was part of the judging panel for the category. He said, ‘We are very pleased to be part of the WOBAs and in particular to sponsor this award, Innovation has been the cornerstone of our success since the business began in 1952 and has played a key role in helping us become the global success story we are today. We are therefore delighted to support an award which recognises new and innovative enterprises who share our drive to grow and succeed.’
The Owen Mumford Innovation Award recognises all forms of successfully applied innovation, from new products and services to a culture of improvement and celebrates ideas that have created value, whether to the organisation or to society as a whole. This year, Owen Mumford received many high quality and deserving entries and after much consideration, agreed on the three finalists as follows:
Independent Futures – providing high quality supported independent living, advice and support.
Sonnox Ltd - designer of award-winning, audio processing plug-ins for professional audio engineers
Ue Coffee Roasters – the UK’s first and only coffee roasting company using artisan wood powered roasters to produce premium coffee
Andy Vardé said: ‘Each of the finalists demonstrated a commitment to innovation and a genuine passion for what they do. Most importantly, each of them took their ideas and made them into something of real value. Having met this challenge I have every confidence that each of our finalists will go on to achieve great things.’
The 2015 WOBA Awards Gala Dinner takes place at Heythrop Park Resort on Friday 27th March and the event is also providing a fundraising opportunity for Base 33, this year’s chosen WOBA charity that won the Charity and Community Award 2014.
