Oxfordshire-based Owen Mumford's latest recruitment drive see two more management appointments. Despite challenging economic times, Oxfordshire-based Owen Mumford, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of medical devices, is expanding.

The latest two members of staff joining the management team are Paul Currah and Nancy Neilson.

Paul Currah has been appointed to the position of Strategic Purchasing Manager in the Operations Division at Owen Mumford Ltd.  Reporting to Mark Owen, Operations Director, Paul will be part of the senior management team and will be responsible for leading the company’s purchasing function.

Paul joins Owen Mumford from GlaxoSmithKline, where he was Sourcing Group Manager.  He brings 15 years of experience in procurement and supplier development having previously held key purchasing roles at Abbott’s Diabetes Care and the CarnaudMetalbox Group. 

Mark Owen, Operations Director for Owen Mumford Ltd said:  “We are delighted to welcome Paul to the senior management team.  As we develop our global business plan, the role of strategic purchasing is one of the key areas of focus and we are confident Paul will play a vital role in our future success.”

Nancy Neilson has been appointed 'Site Quality Assurance Manager and will be based at Owen Mumford’s Cotswold division in Chipping Norton.  Nancy’s remit will be to oversee the management of the site quality assurance system as well as the quality assurance team.  

Nancy comes to Owen Mumford from GlaxoSmithKline (Montrose, Scotland), where she was the Compliance Projects Manager & QMS Champion.  Her role there was to manage the implementation of the quality management system and ensure its development, deployment and sustainability. At Owen Mumford, Nancy will report in to David Farrier, Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.
