Owen Mumford Ladies take part in the Race for Life
On Sunday 8th June, a team of Owen Mumford Ladies took part in the Race for Life in Oxford.
The Race for Life event is held up and down the country for women to raise money and support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work. We joined over 2000 women to run, jog or walk the 5km course around University Parks in Oxford. The atmosphere was amazing and, despite a few weary feet, there were smiles all round as we crossed the finish line.
As you can see, we were dressed in our Owen Mumford t-shirts in the new corporate pink! Pictured are Dalia Alhusseini, Jane Parnell, Charlie Fuller, Jo Abbott, Viv Atkins, Jacqui Cook, Sarah Massey and Abbie De'ath, along with honorary OM Ladies Sarah Harries and Maria Lovick.
We would like to say a big thank-you to everyone who sponsored us. As a result of your generosity, we have raised over £2000 for Cancer Research UK. The money will help this fantastic charity to continue their invaluable work helping more people survive cancer.
